Our Mission is to protect, maintain and improve the quality of life of our residents. To advocate on behalf of the neighborhood against issues that impact our area. To encourage civic participation, awareness and charitable giving. To promote and support any project which enhances Goodbee as a rural residential community.
We are a community of residents living in the Goodbee, LA who are dedicated to maintaining the beauty, safety, and value of our rural neighborhood. Our board members and committees work tirelessly to ensure that our neighborhood remains a wonderful place to call home. We invite you to explore our website and learn more about our community and our association.
Traffic and flooding are two important issues for our association, but there is so much more! Charitably giving, Community events, Neighborhood Beautification, Helping the Elderly, Recreational and Outdoor Activities, Public Watch and Promoting Locally Owned Businesses are just a few of the issues that are important to us.
Ultimately the degree of success achieved by our association will be determined by how large we can grow our membership and encourage involvement and participation by our members. We hope you join us and help make our association stronger! Every member and donation counts and is greatly appreciated, together we can be force and reach all of our goals.

We all owe Dr. Martin a great debt of gratitude for his courage and initiative to create and run this association for over 20 years. If not for him there is no telling what our community would look like today. Lets continue where he left off and build on his legacy.
Cleaning the trash along the highway, providing a thanksgiving meal for our local fire department to showing up at parish council meetings to be the voice for the community, these are a few of the many services the Goodbee Civic Association provides for all who resident in our area.

Goodbee, LA started many years ago as a relatively small area located near the intersection of Hwy 1077 and Hwy 190. At one time the Goodbee Train stop and post office existed there. While Goodbee has never had defined boundaries, the area identified and claimed as Goodbee by it's residents has expanded over the years. For the most part, we go by the boundaries of The Goodbee Fire Department, Fire District 13. To be more inclusive, we expanded to include areas on the eastern side of the Little Tchefuncte River just to the west of Lake Ramsey, along portions of Bennett Bridge Road and all of N. Willie Road up to Hwy 40. Hwy 1077 is the main highway that runs north/south, that the majority of us use every day.
